The creation of the so-called Zangezur corridor will create grounds for the intervention of extra-regional military forces and will cause new crises in this strategic region. Ali-Akbar Ahmadian, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (NSC), has said at a meeting with Khalaf Khalafov, the special affairs representative of the President of Azerbaijan, Mehr news agency informs.
According to him, the actions that cause geopolitical changes in the region, such as the proposals of other players on the so-called Zangezur corridor issue, will not help the countries of this region, and will also create a basis for the intervention of extra-regional military forces. And, of course, these actions will cause new crises in this region, a strategic region.
Ahmadian also said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is categorically against any plan that will lead to a change in the geopolitics of the region.
