The European Union, as part of the upcoming 13th sanctions package against Russia, will introduce restrictive measures against companies from different countries, which, according to the EU, are involved in circumventing sanctions against Moscow. EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell announced at a press conference in Warsaw.
"The sanctions will affect many people and institutions, as well as companies from different countries involved in circumventing our sanctions," he said.
He said work on the new sanctions package was continuing with the aim of approving the new measures by Feb. 24, the second anniversary of the start of Russia's military operation in Ukraine.
