Iran plans to hold joint naval drills with China and Russia by the end of March. This was announced by Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Navy Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, Tasnim news agency reported.
According to Irani, the preliminary date of the exercise is set for March 19. In addition to Russia and China, the Iranian side has invited several other countries to participate in the military maneuvers.
"The exercises will be held to ensure regional security and realize common interests," Irani noted.
