Peter Nemoy: Armenia is ready to get a chance not to catch up with anyone, but to be one step ahead, as Armenians did more than once (VIDEO)

Peter Nemoy, the CEO of the 'Teatrika' theatrical laboratory, director, actor, expert in the field of innovative creative technologies, the first man who moved to Armenia to support the "Project 301: Armenia - the Land of Wise Men," shares in an exclusive interview with ARKA news agency his views about the future of Armenia and who is Armenia's archenemy.

- In one of your speeches you said that the choice is a miracle. And if you choose Lake Baikal or India as a vacation destination, you will live there for seven years. Why did you choose to move to Armenia and are you going to live here for 7 years as well?

P. Nemoy - Seven years is the minimum. And this is really a miracle, a moment when something happened to a person and continues to happen, and the fact itself.

- And why exactly Armenia?

P. Nemoy - A strange question from an Armenian woman. Usually this question does not arise among Armenians. Why Armenia? Because this is the territory where the most important processes are currently taking place from the point of view of the future of civilization, formation of the future language and future technologies.

- You are the first wise man who has moved to Armenia within the framework of the 'Project 301: Armenia-County of Wise Men' to help bring the country out of the crisis. What are you ready to give to this project and what do you expect from it?

P. Nemoy - These are good questions. Look, if something happens that will allow the Armenians to bring together their competences, a quantum leap will take place. But this is what they cannot do in any way. Armenians have tremendous competencies, erudition in science and other areas, but they are unable to bring all that together. It's not about the money; it's about just teaming up and doing something together. What am I expecting? I look forward to creating the main tool - communication. My task is very simple: on the one hand, to share with Armenia the views of another person, which is always enrichment. Perhaps, very many things Armenians cannot do simply because they look from the wrong side. You just need to invite other people and ask how they look at it. Another person's look may provide an opportunity to revive the structure. On the other hand, I think that Armenia needs non-Armenians, namely "external" people, because for thousands of years Armenians have been performing the function of interpreters in various civilizations. They did not speak to each other. And they need 'external' people who are in love with them, who will explain to Gagik what Rubik means when doing or saying this or that, and introduce them to each other. This is what, perhaps, will give a new push and allow taking a step towards the fusion of competencies.

- Are you going to act as a kind of detonator?

P. Nemoy - Yes.

- After the national disaster that happened last year, we all as a nation started thinking about who we are. So, who we are, Armenians, as a people.

P. Nemoy - I would definitely put a question mark at this place: after the national catastrophe or during it? Because it seems to me that the national catastrophe is now in full swing. This is an important context, because when something is completed, then, according to the law of physics, it makes room for the next accomplishment. But when a certain process is not completed, it means that we are acting inside a wave. And then we must understand, because the navigation is different: we find ourselves in some peace of the water surface, when the catastrophe has already occurred, and we need to understand and make a decision what to do or are we right inside this wave?

- And you need to understand how to be saved?

P. Nemoy - Yes, and you need to understand how to maneuver, how to change the course within this energy. My opinion, which of course, is subjective, is that nothing has passed, but is happening right now. And you need to come to an agreement and use the most powerful energy of this catastrophe for the future, for achieving super-results. Because if you do not use it, then this wave will cover everyone and destroy, and if you use it, you can generate electricity, future and transform it.

- And who are we, Armenians?

P. Nemoy - This is a difficult question. What are Armenians for me, for an external person? Armenians are one of the world's main networked nations. There are two of them - Armenians and Jews. But Jews are a closed structure that moves inward, Armenians are always an open structure integrated into all communities and systems. Armenians are an interesting story, a people who do not appreciate and do not know their culture, but never stop bragging it. But in the true context, they do not use the simply cosmic resource that is present in their own culture. For example: Armenia and Armenian culture are not positioned in the world in any way. We say Japan, and we have a picture before our eyes. The same is true when we say Germany, Africa, but not when we say Armenia.

- ... The lost Mount Ararat.

P. Nemoy - Yes, that's all. A white spot. When we say Georgia, we imagine its songs and wines. The Armenian culture does not exist at all for the outside world. On the one hand, this is a consequence of the fact that for millennia Armenians have integrated into other communities, other states. And the Armenians have such a level of empathy that they have become and are still becoming the standard representatives of those cultures.

- More Catholics than the Pope himself.

P. Nemoy - Exactly. The Armenian culture never helped Armenians to advance and survive in these societies, so it was only for domestic use and not valuable. That is why it gradually degraded, because there was tremendous pressure from other cultures. On the one hand, every Armenian can say: "We are the first Christian nation, we are a cool nation, we had everything six thousand years ago." On the other hand, an Armenian cannot say anything to a clarifying question. He does not really know how it happened, and the consequence of what it was. Doesn't know what he means by saying "my" culture. And this is an obstacle to developing and moving forward. As one fine man (Gustav Mahler) said, "Tradition is the communication of fire, not the worship of ashes." In other words, culture and traditions must be alive. Where are the yard and other games, the folklore? What dance do Armenians dance when they win? Yes, they dance a couple of dances, but a huge number, a whole block, a whole part of the culture is lost, and only super-professionals know about it. Who of the Armenians can say what Matenadaran is? The majority will simply point a finger and say - ancient, very ancient manuscripts are kept there. Which ones? Why would Chechen leader Kadyrov dispatch a team of historians to Matenadaran? Because Chechens want to restore their history. But why Matenadaran? And why it has texts about the Hellenic, Egyptian and ancient Indian culture? Why and how did they end up at Matenadaran?

- It is known that many ancient manuscripts survived only in Armenian translations.

P. Nemoy - Yes. But no one will say about it. And so with almost everything. There was the state of Urartu, and what is it, and what is the connection? There were more than a dozen kingdoms, capitals were moved, but why? And all this is unknown. What is written in this temple? Why the pattern on the khachkar looks like this? Why is this khachkar different from the other? Why don't the Armenians have Christ on the cross?

- In other words, it's time for the Armenians to get to know themselves?

P. Nemoy - Now is the time! In Australia there is a custom that when rice grows poorly, women go out to the field, squat down and sing a song about its history. They tell rice who it is. Rice remembers who it is and begins to grow. The time has come for the Armenians to tell themselves a story like a fairy tale, to remember things that seem to be generally recognized. Everyone seems to know, but no one knows, and it must be told again.

- From the very beginning and in detail .

P. Nemoy - Yes, yes.

- Nevertheless, you said in one of your interviews that you are in love with Armenians, even though little is known about them. Why?

P. Nemoy- Uh ... One thing has nothing to do with the other. First, the Armenians are an absolutely amazing people. Armenians were in my kindergarten, school, university. Now I have a huge number of Armenian friends who are in art, science, business. As our grandmothers used to say, an Armenian is one who always cries a little. Indeed, it is very interesting to look at a person whose eyes sparkle, while there is always a tear in his eyes. On the other hand, the main quality of Armenians is very interesting. An Armenian is a person with whom it is almost always very humanly comfortable. Armenians are very curious people, they stick their nose everywhere. This condition is close to childhood. And this is very cool. But at the same time, the Armenians for me are somewhat reminiscent of the Greeks. Not historically, but a combination of antiquity and absolute ease and modernity. Yerevan for me is the best version of Europe: countless small cafes, conversations, city atmosphere, but without the paranoia that Europe has fallen into. Why is it the best version for me? Because the Armenians do not turn anything into ideology. That is, there is an idea like this, yes, good, but maybe not. There are pros and cons here. Cons - because it is impossible to really agree on anything, but, on the other hand, it leaves the structure mobile, alive. Pros - this look of Narekatsi, Mkhitar Gosh that many of the Armenian directors have, a special look, very poetic, deep and imaginative.

- There is an interesting Indian practice: set the alarm clock for different hours and, when it rings, ask oneself: "What am I doing?"

P. Nemoy - Do not ask yourself, but answer the question about what is happening now.

- If we ask this question as a nation, where are we going, what is happening to us right now?

P. Nemoy - This is a very difficult question. As my friend, a financial analyst, once said: Imagine, you are walking down the street and there is a sound of explosion. All people are pressed to the ground in fear. If you find the strength to stay standing, you will see far away. What's going on now? Oh God, everything is bad, everyone died, everything fell apart and there are no more prospects. But this is only external foam that has absolutely nothing to do with reality. Because now, in my understanding, is the best time for Armenia. Because the worst time is the time when everything is calm, soap bubbles are flying around, everyone believes in them and is in illusion, when a complete collapse and degradation actually occurs. And when the soap bubbles all burst, everything changes and the heroes suddenly turn out to be losers and without illusions, at this moment the earth is exposed: real people, on real earth, in real energy. This is the best time to use this powerful energy and the absolutely clear vision of what is happening for laying the foundation for the future. What's going on now? Now there is an absolute gift of the gods for the Armenians, which they either use and make a leap, or say: "Oh, we do not know, everything is very bad." They will leave Armenia and give up everything.

- In other words, everything is either very good or very bad?

P. Nemoy - There is a middle option, but it is the worst option. This is what Christ was talking about: don't be warm. This is a very important point. For me, the middle option is only gray, warm, intolerable, which will definitely destroy the nation.

- You once said that you found world-class stars in Irkutsk, which the residents of the city did not know about. Do you know such stars in Armenia?

P. Nemoy - The situation is very similar in many ways. Irkutsk, Baikal is a place that resembles Armenia in many ways, because it is filled with powerful people in various areas who do not talk to each other. And there is an expression that is absolutely applicable both for Irkutsk and Armenia “Everything was bad and to crown it all, my neighbor bought a Mercedes. That is, you are happy when a neighbor's cow dies.

- Irkutsk and Armenia - so far from one another.

P. Nemoy - Yes. But such a number of subtle, completely unexpected connections for me. First, the landscapes. I say for sure that you can take an Armenian, get him drunk, bring him to Lake Baikal and there will be several places where he will be sure that he is in Armenia, and vice versa. It's amazing. Moreover, these civilizations are located in different worlds. And it's the same in Armenia with world-class geniuses. For example, Nur, a person that everyone seems to know about. But nobody understands who Nur really is. Because this is a real, Armenian Leonardo da Vinci, a Renaissance man. Because he is a jeweler only in the 35th place. First of all, he is an engineer. Have you heard Nur's songs, have you tasted the dishes cooked by him? And there are a lot of such people here. World-class people in thinking, discoveries that are unknown. This applies to music, painting, sculpture, and literature. Although, at the same time, Armenia is more integrated into civilization than Baikal. Armenian history, diaspora are integrated, so you can quickly enter.

- They call you Woland and the wizard, and you yourself said that if you need to find a "green and singing elephant" for the implementation of a project, you will do it. Imagine that you were asked to promote the Armenia project as a country. What would you do first?

P. Nemoy This question is no longer about the "green singing elephant," but about which ring you will take when you are in a gold mine. This is what we have already done. The Irish had a national dance, which they used to create the Riverdance show and promote it all over the world making thousands of people want to learn to dance it; they wanted to wear such skirts and such shoes. Hundreds of studios were opened and the tourist flow increased not by 10-12%, but by 82%! The first wave that we launched in Armenia is the collection of artifacts. Together with the team, I dive deeply into Narekatsi, into texts, collecting any artifacts, information in order to feel more texture. At the same time, we collect and get acquainted with the maximum number of people who store music, dance, and other content in order to create a gorgeous, very beautiful, very powerful show at the level of Cirque du Soleil that will go around the world. As a matter of fact, it will create a new Armenia, the view that will be used to look at this territory.

- Do you think Armenia has a future?

P. Nemoy - Armenia now has one archenemy. No one can defeat the Armenians, except the Armenians themselves, no one can ruin the future of Armenia, except the Armenians. No power in the world is capable of doing this. The main enemy of Armenia is the Armenians. Does Armenia have a future? A fucking future, a better future on Earth. Now I can prove that it can be right here, and not in any other country.

- Why?

P. Nemoy - When there is a problem, someone proposes a solution and becomes the first. Armenia can tell the world: dudes, we once became the first Christian state, and now we have fallen so deep, like the whole world, and now it is time to experiment with the very conception of "state," to become the first digital state on Earth. At that moment, Armenia in a second finds itself in a leading position in several parameters. After all, Armenians are a networked nation that is as close to become a digital state as possible. It is a nation that is integrated into all communities. If now we find the right path of institution, then this territory, like no other, is ready to get a chance to leap forward and not catch up with anyone, to be one step ahead, as the Armenians have done more than once.

- Let it be so. Thank you.
